Utah History Extra Credit Opportunities
Extra Credit Opportunities
Each term students can earn extra credit through a variety of ways.
National Park, State Park, Monument, Historic Site,
Students who travel to a national or state park/monument, or historic site in UTAH during the course of the term can take a picture of them at the place and do a short write up, about a paragraph long, explaining what they did there, what they saw, if they enjoyed it, etc. Students will hand in the write up to me and show me the picture. They are welcome to show the picture to me on their phone so a copy doesn't disappear.
Visit the Utah State Capitol
Students are welcome to take a tour of the capitol building in Salt Lake City or the Territorial capitol building in Fillmore, Utah. Students will need a picture of them at the capitol and will need to write a short response explaining what they did there, what they saw, what they learned about their state history from the tour. Students will hand in the write up to me and can show me the picture on their phone so a hard copy does not disappear.
